Help us find a new practice space!
After more than 5 years at the Regent Theater in Arlington, Odaiko New England must find a new home. The Regent has been a wonderful place to us and we are sad to go, but all things do come to an end.
If you have any leads on places where Odaiko New England can move to, we would greatly appreciate your tips. A stable home base is critical to the longevity and ongoing operation of the group.
We need a practice studio large enough to fit at least 30 drummers for our classes, an on-site drum storage location, parking available for car commuters, and a location that is close to public transportation for our students and members living a car-free lifestyle. Most importantly, the location needs to be reasonably soundproofed and not near resident neighbors who might complain about living next to a taiko dojo. Believe us, this has caused problems in the past!
We appreciate any leads on spaces that would fit this purpose. Below is a list of target criteria. We understand not every space will meet all of these needs, so any space that fits a majority of this criteria we are interested in.
Odaiko New England will also consider offering classes to an established school or community center in return for use of their facilities.
