Marc Verhagen

Born in the Netherlands, Marc moved to England in the early nineties, then got distracted and found himself in New England in the mid nineties. His first musical experience was banging on a little tin drum. Later in life, he realized that he had always been attracted to the primal sound of drums, especially when performed live. In the summer of 2007, he saw Odaiko New England play at the Dragon Boat festival. He happened to be looking for something energetic to do the coming winter and knew immediately that taiko was it.

After taking classes for more than 10 years he finally got more serious about drumming when he joined ONE in 2020. Marc tremendously enjoys playing in a group and loves the energy and rhythm of the Taiko drums.
