Dear Odaiko New England fans, supporters
and fellow taiko-enthusiasts!:
We have a big couple of months planned and wanted to share some
major highlights, starting with ...
Odaiko New England's big concert:
CROSSROADS, April 29 and 30!
We are excited to announce our 12th Anniversary Concert, CROSSROADS,
to be presented at the Mainstage at the Media Arts Center
of Roxbury Community College (1234 Columbus Ave., Roxbury)
on April 29th (8:00 pm) and 30th (3:00
pm). Advance tickets are through TicketWeb.com
or 1-866-468-7619 (some service charges apply). For the
first time ever, O.N.E. will share a self-presented, full-length
concert with the Boston community, highlighting the talents of O.N.E.'s
performing members, the group's newest compositions
and commissions, and a guest appearance
by internationally-renowned Japanese flute master-performer, Marco
Lienhard. All proceeds from this fundraising concert will
support O.N.E.'s cultural and artistic activities, providing critical
support to our creative work and helping us to share our artistry
with ever more diverse audiences. Please don't miss this incredible
show and the chance to celebrate with Odaiko New England!
Calling for Volunteers
With this major milestone concert coming up in 8 weeks, we're
looking for volunteers to assist with ushering, merchandise,
and even some backstage assistance! Volunteering for the concert
is a great way to support Odaiko New England's work and to get involved
in our taiko community. Interested? Please contact Assistant Artistic
Director Mark H. Rooney at mhrooney@hotmail.com.
